Mallory Bell

Hello! My name is Mallory Bell, and I am currently serving as the Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). I graduated with my PhD in Accounting from the University of Washington in June 2026 and will be on the 2026-2027 accounting job market. 

I conduct financial archival research. My research interests relate to the consequences of financial reporting standards, practices, and disclosure for investors and managers. I am particularly interested in research questions that contribute to advancing both academic and practitioner knowledge.

Before the PhD program, I was a manager in KPMG's Accounting Advisory Services group and Postgraduate Technical Assistant at the FASB. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Master of Accountancy from the University of Denver in 2016 and am a licensed CPA in the state of Colorado.
